Kona Ironman 2023

Nick and his parents had intended to do the Kona 1/2 Ironman relay in 2018. Instead, as the events of life unfolded and COVID ensued, we decided to make the family dream come true in 2023.

Carla Albano, the author of Soul of a Swimmer, swam for Nick. Nick’s mom, Annika, cycled and Mitch, his dad, ran. It was a poignant and memorable race. Nick had an additional team in the race as well. Jamie Herrington, Ann Marie Fort, and Christine Hiler all came to compete for Team Nick.
